“I would like to be a travel agent one day.”  That’s the thought I had as I walked by a travel agency in our local department store growing up.  I never forgot that day. The thought of traveling to far-away lands and experiencing different things  was what started my travel journey.

During my elementary school years, our family travelled to Hawai'i, Hong Kong and China, and that cemented my desire to travel even more.

Years later, I had an opportunity to train and work within the travel and cruise industry. First, with a local agency that dealt specifically with travel for seniors and second, with a cruise line.  After trying out both, I discovered I enjoyed working from the travel agency side more.  From helping clients finally going on that big trip with friends to solo travellers to those wanting to see things their way.

The travel industry is always changing.  So, I change with it by continuing to learn and gain awareness through industry news, meetings, conferences, ship inspections, and my own personal research along the way.
