Arc de Triomphe - Paris, France

When I told people I was going to create a women’s travel group for those 50+, the response was very positive.  Then I was asked, “Where do you go?” Well, that is a good question.  Where am I going to take everyone?

Over the years, I’ve collected videos from travellers I’ve seen online, scribbled down notes of places I’ve read, picked up books travel books and joined online groups to find out about where others are travelling.   I will now go through everything I've collected to put together travel trips that are unique and varied.

To start things off, I’m in the beginning stages of putting together a 2026 Paris, France trip as my first women’s trip.  This has been something I’ve been wanting to do for a few years now since coming back from my first trip in the Fall of 2013.  Below are some ideas of things to do and places to visit in Paris:

  • Hop On Hop Off Bus Tour – This is the best way to see a sampling of what’s in the area.  I tend to ride the entire loop the first time to see everything.  Then on the second time round, I would have made my decision on where to get off and start exploring.

  • Arc de Triomphe

  • Eiffel Tower

  • The Louvre – many different sections to this museum

  • Notre Dame de Paris – guided tours available

  • Leonardo de Vinci’s home and a visit to the surrounding area

  • Carcassonne – south of France. Famous for the walled citadel

  • Cooking/baking class – for those who want to learn a bit of French cuisine

  • Wine tasting

  • Learn to make your own perfume class

  • Visits to neighboring quaint towns

These are just some of the things I would like to see us do.  I will post the tour details on a later blog once I get everything settled.  If this sounds interesting to you, please let me know by sending me a message on the Contact Us tab.  If you’re not part of my email list for updates, go ahead and fill in your name and email address on the bottom of the Home page.
